13 Dec 2006:
Thank you so much for all of your wonderful help to our service members. It’s greatly appreciated from all of us!!!!

I have already contacted my replacements and have given them your website, so hopefully, you’ll receive even more contacts with their group. Again, thank you for all that you and your team do!!!

Semper Fi,

I would like to take this final time to say "thank you" to all of you once again for your wonderful generosity. As of right now, this will be my last email to you all. I have transfer orders and will be returning back to the States in order to execute them, so I will no longer be the point of contact for AnySailor any longer. If you have sent mail recently, my alternate will go ahead and distribute as necessary. He has already been filled in on what to do. Once again, thank you, even though it seems that it just isn't enough for all you've done for us. It is people like you that remind us of what we are truly fighting for... it is Americans like you!!! God bless you all!!!

Thank you all very much for your wonderful support during the past few months. Boxes keep pouring in and we've gotten a lot with decorations in them. Offices and workspaces are constantly being decorated by those who are getting these packages. They are very thankful and are definitely getting into the Christmas spirit.

I've included a couple of pictures for your pleasure. I was promoted the other day so I thought you'd enjoy a couple of pictures from the ceremony.

Greetings from Iraq!!!! I hope that everyone had a wonderful
Thanksgiving. We sure did here in Iraq. They went all out to make sure that we had a great Thanksgiving feast, and even took the time to decorate the chow hall. I've attached a picture for your viewing. I also wanted to thank you all for the packages. There has certainly been an increase in them as the holiday season has come. I have even sent some of the packages to a few of my comrades that are on the Syrian and
Iranian borders so that they can enjoy them as well. These guys are constantly on the move and are blessed to get anything that can easily fit into their pockets so that they can pull them out and eat on the go. Once again, thank you!!! You truly are not forgotten for what you do for us!!!!

Here is a picture of a few of us Nov 2nd. We were very blessed to have Chuck Norris and Marshall Teague come out and see us. In case you’d like to put a face with my name, I am the one standing next to Marshall Teague. Thank you again for your wonderful support!!!!

I just wanted to thank everyone again for the letters and packages. They really make the day. When I hand them out, you see everyone’s faces light up like kids in a candy store. We are all doing well here and have hit the half way mark. I think what people might like are some of those Little Debbie cakes/ snacks and some type of Christmas decorations so that they can hang up in order to make them feel more “at home”. Again, I thank you for your kind hospitality!!!!

The packages and letters have been flowing in. Every time I give someone a package or letter, you can definitely tell the excitement on their faces. I would like to say “thank you” for all that you all do and for your big hearts to give. II Cor 9:7 says “…for God loveth a cheerful giver”, and it is greatly appreciated from the bottoms of our hearts. Thank you again!!!

The living conditions here are fair. We live in small trailers that house 2 people. There are microwave capabilities so any microwavable foods that are safe to send like popcorn, easy mac and cheese, the small cups of chili or stew or whatnot, & soup would be great. We don't have any cooking ablities here except the microwave, otherwise we eat at the chow hall, which gets old pretty fast. I am representing a group of Sailors (Hospital Corpsmen) and Marines from my section. Many of them are junior enlisted and sadly don't receive many packages. The following is a list of items that are requested: flavored coffee, regular coffee (Starbucks if available), powdered creamer, slim jims, any candy, rice krispie treats, individual cereal & oatmeal cups, flavored rice cakes, beef jerkey, tuna, granola bars, power bars, chex mix, trail mix, canned meat (chicken & turkey), nail clippers, Q tips, small mirrors, clorox wipes, hand sanitizer, portable packets of baby wipes, nail files, female hygiene items, batteries (AA & AAA), phone cards, books & magazines, small flashlights, games, blankets, socks, music cd's, razors, shaving cream, soap, shampoo, deodorant, after shave, plastic hooks that stick to the wall, oatmeal, pretzels, chips, drink mixes (crystal light), and anything else you're blessed to send. We would be happy with anything. Thank you for your support!!!

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Sailor if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Sailor!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
