Hello again.. I hope all is good for everyone. My prayers go out to all the Suffolk, VA families who were hit by the tornadoe. Being as most of my unit is from Hampton Roads area this was very nerve racking for us. The weather here is getting in the 90's. But the days are pretty not much rain lately. I thank everyone for all the support they give.. It is very much APPRECIATED... I took a few boxes to another camp that is very isolated for some of the sailors there.. They were very happy to receive all the goodies from flipflops (shower shoes), toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, deodarants, shaving items, and femine products... Even candy and popcorn... I can't express the gratitude the sailors have for all the support from letters to food that you all have provided. My camp even put the pictures I got from an elementary school up in the dining facility..

Items Apprciated:
Letters, postcards, stationary items, pens, etc
Books(mystery, romance, finance, history), magazines (health/fitness, glamour, time, etc), puzzle books, and etc
Candy
Healthy snacks (granola bars, fruit snacks, fruit rollups) / Diet supplements/ multivitamins
Beef Jerky
Hygiene items (toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo (reg, Danduff, and swimmers - the kind that takes the chlorine out), conditioner, pantyliners, tampons, pads, femine wash, shaving items, lotions, etc)

Good evening I hope all is well for the ANYSAILOR.com supporters. The Navy team has been busy making great strides with our afghan counterparts. We are getting ready for a Humanitarian run to one of the local villages here. So the days are going by pretty fast but not fast enough. Well just a few updates to add:

1. Added 3 males and 6 females to the Navy Team here
2. Request for a few tape measures for our engineer team
3. Shower shoes ( FlipFlops) sizes 6-8 females / 9-11 males
4. Dandruff shampoo ( the chlorine in the shower water does wonders to the scalp )
Thank you to all the supporters out there. No matter what you send be a letter or 4 packages your support is a beacon of light to the many military servicemen and women. Please continue to support the military service personnel with your love and prayers.

Just a few updated items of request: Non-aerosal bug repellant and phone cards, also some general greeting cards, stationary, etc.

Today is Easter and while we're not home I was able to give a small home made bag of goodies for all my co-workers with the help of some plastic eggs that were sent to me a few weeks back. Thank you for helping bring a little of home to us in afghanistan. God Bless all the supporters out there. You really are making a difference no matter how small the token.

Hello again. I wanted to say thank you to all the supporters. I have recieved many packages and today passed on the last toothbrush and toothpaste to one of the sailors who left his in the restroom by mistake. I get many thanks from all the sailors that I have distributed the goodies to. I am in the process of sending out all thank you letters. I did send a hugh package down range to an even smaller camp yesterday so hopefully they will enjoy the goodies. To all who visit the site and may read my posting thank you for all your support. It means more then you think to us here to know our own citizens support us while we are here. Until next update God Bless you all

First and foremost my gratitude to all the supporters. I have been in Afghanistan for 2 months and while its not HOME I am reminded how much the Citizens of the United States are behind the military. My Team is busy everyday helping to improve the Afghan National Army. They are making great strides. My team has a year here and in the last two months I have seen some great work in all military branchs. I only have one updated request from a few sailors who get razor bumps for Shaving products called KLEENSHAVE or similiar product that they can use on their face without razor bumps. Again Thanks for all the support as we are a small camp with a limited 20ft PX.

Hello I am representing a Navy IA unit. We work with all branches of the service. We have 220 electricity but most have converters for 110. Most are living in a hard building but we do have a few sailors living in a tent still. Some have refrigerators and microwaves in their rooms. Most from this IA unit are from Virginia bases. Mostly we are in need of hygiene products such as soap, deodarants, lotions, shampoo, foot powder, etc. Everyone loves Beef Jerky, popcorn, cookies, hard candy, cheetios, even granola bars. Also some over the counter cold medicines such as theraflu, halls cough drops, tylenol, bandaids, q-tips, and female hygeine products (tampons, pantyliners, and pads). Also Shaving products for both male and female. Thank you for all the support.

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Sailor if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Sailor!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
