23 Jun 2008:
Sorry its been so long since the last time i wrote! We've been so busy that it seems time is flying, which is a good thing. Thanks for all the packages and letters that you have all sent. My squad leader says he's going to have to get a bigger uniform if all the snacks keep coming! Its okay because he's too skinny anyways. The packages are great. Thanks so much for the snacks, games, toiletries, letters, cards so we can write home, and everything else! We are all so proud to serve a country with people like you. The outreach to us is great. I think we could use more toiletries and snacks are always great. The cards and letters are by far the best because it shows a touch from home. Its been getting hotter everyday here. We all have nice dark necks with white chests! Ive heard it called a farmer's tan. It seems the dust storms never stop, as does the work. But there are always things to be fixed and built. Our crew here is about 15 males. There are no females anymore so i fowarded the packages for females to our main camp. I'm trying to reply to all the letters. Well I'll try to write sooner next time. Thank you so much for your support!

I want to thank everyone for all their great support. I cant explain the gratitude my fellow seabees and myself are for all the great things we were sent. It was overwhelming to see all the great cards, letters, goodies, we received. I was very surprised on how supportive my country is and that what makes me proud to serve it. We are very proud of defending our country because of people like you. Thank you for all the supportive cards and letters. My seabees or myself have been trying to reply to all of them and eventually will. The cards and letters are very motivating and bring us great joy. Its so great for someone who doesn't get any mail to open up something and see that they're being supported. I cant say thank you enough! It turns out me and some other seabees have moved to a different location. So someone else has signed up for anysailor to support my main camp. We are at a different location now to support another mission. My address will stay the same because they just forward the mail here. I cant really say where I am but I can say that it is HOT! About a week ago it got to 120. We work 12 hours a day 7 days a week. Our new location has a small galley but only serves hot food for dinner. For breakfast we have bagels, cereal, pop tarts, and such. For lunch its sandwiches and hot pockets. Its not the greatest of things but its still something in the stomach! Dinner is always good because its hot food. There have been some huge dust storms lately. For 4 days you could not see 10 feet in front of you in the day. The sun seemed to have disappeared. It gets pretty dirty too. The work is hard and the days are long but we are still going strong. The support from home helps us greatly. What we probably really need is toiletries. The PX here is smaller than before and always runs out of things. The cards and letters are also wanted by everyone because it is very motivating. There is no MWR(Morale Welfare Recreation) here so some of the seabees were asking about cards, checkers or chess, or other board games. Theres not much down time but when there is its nice to sit around and play a game. The goodies are always nice as well. Once again I want to say thank you again because the support helps us with the mission. Thank you!

We would like some toiletries being the bx is always out. Some brown under shirts would be great as well. Im not really sure what is all needed but i was told by a shipmate that this was a great thing. I think mostly what we need is some morale boosting things and helpful items. We are from all over the west coast including california, utah, arizona, hawaii and most other west coast states as well. We live in pods, we have electricity(220), we also have microwaves and fridges. I just want to say that from what i seen it is so great to recieve things in the mail. People get very lonely and sad and i cannot describe the joy a package or mail can do for someones day, week, and even lifetime. Its so nice to see that we're being supported and that people care. I just want to say thank you beforehand! thank you!

IMPORTANT! DO NOT PRINT THIS PAGE!!!

Why? Because this list changes all the time due to unit movements, soldier transfers, or even soldier casualties.
It is also illegal. ALL content on this site is copyright Any Soldier Inc.
DO NOT send any letter or package to a soldier's address unless you check this web site the same day you mail your packages.
Please do not burden the soldiers or the APO/FPO by sending things when the soldiers are gone. If a soldier is not listed here anymore then that soldier's address is expired. Check here often!

Note that some of the units do not have ranks shown on their addresses.
This is done at the unit's request, but ALL of our contacts ARE Servicemembers.

Be sure to change the "ATTN" line to "ATTN: Any Female Sailor if your package is for a female!

DO NOT use this program if you expect or require a reply!
DO NOT expect, or require, a reply from a Sailor!
A supporter said it perfectly, "I mean, these guys and gals have other things on their minds, y’know? Like...oh, STAYING ALIVE?"

(NOTE *): Effective 1 May 2006 this web site added a major layer of security to our contacts' information. This change is necessary to protect our troops and ensure that Any Soldier will continue to operate.
The ONLY changes are that the addresses of our contacts are now hidden and the number of addresses you can get are limited. You may obtain addresses simply by clicking on the link provided and correctly filling out the form, the address will then be emailed to you immediately.

(NOTE **): The number shown is how many times a form was submitted requesting this address. This does NOT necessarily mean that this contact will be helped by that many folks. Rule of thumb is that anything 5 requests or less may in fact be no support at all. No way to tell exactly unless the contact lets you know in his/her update how much support they are getting.

(Note 1.): Note that postage to APO AE and FPO AE (E = Europe) is only to NY where the connection to the APO/FPO (APO = Army Post Office)(FPO = Fleet Post Office) is, or to San Francisco for APO AP and FPO AP (P = Pacific), so you don't pay postage all the way to Iraq/Afghanistan. You might consider picking contacts closer to your mailing area to help cut the cost of mailing. If you live on the East Coast, pick "AE", West Coast, pick "AP", Midwest, well...uh, Thank You for your Support! ;)

New with us (December 2005) you might notice "APO AA" and "FPO AA". This is for units in the Caribbean/South America. Normally. However, due to the nature of some units they may be in Iraq but have an address showing "FPO AA". Mail addresses to "AA" goes out of Miami, Florida.

(Note 2.): Why are military addresses weird? There isn't a street address or city. What gives? Correct, just about everything about the military is weird to civilians. Military units are very mobile, they move around a lot, often they even become part of another unit. The APO (Army Post Office) and FPO (Fleet Post Office) assign APO and FPO numbers as needed, they are NOT static. An APO/FPO number may be for a large unit, or a location. An APO/FPO number for Baghdad today may be for Frankfurt tomorrow.

(Note 3.): The "Expect to not mail past" date is only an approximate and is one of the least reliable things on this web site. It is because of this that you must check often before you send anything to this unit. There are a few reasons this date is not reliable, to include: it IS the Military, we ARE dealing with the APO/FPO/DPO. The only thing that does not change in the military is that things will change. PLEASE NOTE that a Contact is dropped off our active list 30 days PRIOR to their date leaving to help avoid mail bouncing.

(Note 4.): (Removed for OPSEC reasons)

(Note 5.): The lines, "Contact with approx number of Soldiers:" and "Approx how may Female Soldiers:" have NOTHING to do with unit strength. They are approximately how many other Troops the Contacts believe they can get packages to. This helps you understand that you should not send 100 packages to someone who only deals with 10 Troops.
Don't forget that if your package is for a female Soldier, be sure to change "ATTN: Any Soldier®" to "ATTN: Any Female Soldier".

( Note 6.): This is simply where the unit this contact is from. This is NOT a true picture of the folks in the unit as most all units are made up of folks from all over the United States.) A "Composite Unit" is one made up of other units and is usually temporary for a particular mission.

( Note 7.): Updated APO/FPO/DPO mailing restrictions> courtesy of Oconus.com (gone now) (Note: About Restriction "U2": "U2 - Limited to First Class Letters", Box "R" is for retired personnel that live overseas and are still authorized an APO/FPO box. Their address will be something like Box 3345R. Doubt you will see anything like that in Afghanistan or Iraq or ...)(Please Note: Sometime in August 2013, Oconus.com changed the code on their page and our form doesn't work with them anymore, so a link to their page is the best we can do, sorry.)
